Sandy, this has happened to me many times. I am afraid that is why I have become such a 'flitter': If the quilting is not going well, I flit to piecing...then to hand applique..then to binding..then back to quilting! My husband will often put his arm around my shoulder and say "you should go sew, you will feel better"! I have taken up hand applique as I miss it all SO much when I am traveling. I am even making a small Shutterfly book to show people what I do. You say longarm quilter, and their eyes glaze over! HA!
