My mom made hers pretty close to yours Bearisgray but without the beans. She also used to ear it with sugar- ick! She wasn't much of a sweet eater either so I'm not sure where the sugar came from. I imagine that's how her mom served it. I cook a lot & that's something I've never made. I make a knock-off recipe with ground beef, macaroni & tomato soup though.
