Well I went ahead and gave it a quick once over with steam iron as the quilt was barely damp in places and figured I'd have the best success doing it right away. It came out not too bad, certainly looks better, and have draped it to finish drying over the couch. I think next time, I would remove from the dryer and shake out the quilt often during the dry cycle to prevent it from happening again, or take it to the huge dryers in the laundromat, but they are always so hot even on low!
