Sorry if I offend anyone, just my opinion. (unless the machine is in dire need of paint)
Now for me, repaints are a whole other thing. Unless it's a rare or otherwise super special machine, I think repainting is quite acceptable. Unless you have no taste and do some weird off the wall dumb thing like that green machine on another thread a few days ago.
