Some non quilting friends don't get it. They see the frayed, worn ripped parts. I see the beauty of someone putting it together. I finally told them the quilt was special, my husband and I were on a small day trip this summer in between hospital and doctor visits. We found an old warn quilt that wasn't quite what we wanted. Tim wanted me to get it but I said we will know the one we are meant to have. Tim just passed away and when I saw this quilt I had to have it, it was exactly what we had been looking for...the quilt is like me, warn, torn and battered in places, but I still have some good in me that will shine through at some point.
