The fabric we use for quilting is usually cotton, which makes it a natural, grown fiber which had living cells. Hydrogen peroxide has the unique property of dissolving certain enzymes in cells. This is why it worked on the cotton fabric. An interesting solution!

But if you will google information on using peroxide on wounds, you will discover that current medical practice does NOT recommend its use for wound cleaning or healing.
