Then realized that the thread was still attached to the quilt and the machine and so had to cut it to pull it thru my finger.
Fortunately It did not go through the nail, nor hit the bone but was far enough in that if the needle had not broken I would have really ripped my finger bad.
Didn't even get blood on the quilt! There is a spot of blood on the top of the glove finger and on the bottom.
It is a bit sore today. I can type "ok" but it is not a happy camper.
I guess I can finally join the club!
oh Gayle, so sorry. Don't make it sound like it's an eventuality!!!
I am a clutz from way back and don't want membership.
Got to get me one of those forked thingies for pushing my fabric around
near needle. Thanks for the reminder to keep our appendages away.
I hope your finger heals quickly. all the way through? maybe see a doc.
