Ann, I'm not familiar with your specific model, but on my 158.1786081, there was a second setting I had to use for one set of cams to work. The double layer ones (two levels of cutouts) required setting a second knob that is inside the stitch length knob on the bottom. For the single level cams (orange with my model), I set the top knob to CAM and the bottom inner knob to the orange dot.
