If you do any paper piecing, there is plenty of good left in that piece. Just cut up into largish hunks and toss it in the scraps! If you're not a paper piecer, I agree with the others - cut as many squares, strips or rectangles as you can without making yourself nuts, then discard the rest (or donate it to someone who uses tiny scraps for stuffing or whatever).
