I think if you want to finish cutting it up, you could make square blocks to use in a border, like one would use piano strips for. Just a matter of choice for you. I would probably cut it up myself, but then I was taught to cut things and save every piece of fabric, by mother who grew up during the Great Depression, so now I just hate to waste fabric.
