Any suggestions on removing the fabric from a 221 singer case? The glue in the joints has popped, due to water damage, but is fixable. Read where someone stripped the wood, stained and varnished it. Need to re-glue the case first. Hinges, lock are in really good condition, handle, not so much. Will need to see about finding a replacement. The fabric is really stuck though. Would paint stripper work? Is there something less toxic?
