Default Newb from StL

With a recently acquired empty nest I found a new hobby...sewing, quilting and embroidery. I have learned A LOT in the last few months and even made two quilts (among other things). I hand embroidered the labels for them and am pretty proud of them. : )

My sewing machine came into my life in August when I wanted to make curtains for my office. They came out pretty good and to justify the expense of the machine, I made a few tote bags (okay, 10-ish). By then, I was hooked and made a couple of quilts (Pintrest only fueled the fire). My husband surprised me with a Brother PE-770 last week and I am really excited to play with it. Oh, I have tested out some of the presets, but I really want to make my own designs and am looking for a good digitizing software.

I have a list of projects a mile long that will keep me busy for quite some time. And to think, I only wanted some curtains. LOL
