I made one from my late husbands shirts. Most were prints. I bought a lightweight muslin to use for the background in a tan color. I did it in Jenny Doan's Disappearing Pinwheel, Shoefly layout. You can find this pattern and tutorial for the block on Youtube. It also gives you the materials list, but I made my own 10" squares from the shirts instead of purchased layer cake as is instructed.
