OK, This is off-topic a smidge.
Found a vintage (1930/1940s era) quilt today with the churn-dash pattern. It is tied. It is also fairly clean but does have an issue. Some of the churn blocks the fabric is coming unsewed and in some instances missing altogether. I don't mind that as it is character. I do want to preserve the remaining fabric as much as possible. Does anyone out there have any ideas? I have one but it is perhaps radical and time consuming so am waiting for others to chime in.

This is definitely off-topic but is it a vintage quilt.
