I had this happen to me once. I ran out of fabric and set it aside. Eleven years later they reprinted the fabric. Never occured to me that dye lots change the colors some so I purchased more. When I laid the blocks out, I scattered the new fabric ones with the old fabric ones. I love how it came out. The differences in the dye lots is really not noticeable, but it gave the quilt more depth and didn't look so flat.
