If possible, I'd leave the ZZ mechanism in the machine and like others indicate oil the devil out of it. I've removed the mechanism and was originally discouraged but eventually pleased to get it back together. It has been awhile since I worked on it but I remember one process not being intuitive. Once, I figured it out, it went right back together and works so smooth. The 206 and 306 to me are like the ZZ counter part of the 201 - just a joy to use.
