A lot of stores don't do alot of the Aurifil because to get the rack and set up it is alot of money up front. Its great thread and even in my area with lots of people there are only a few who sell a varity of this thread. I have Mettler and its good. If you go to different shops, they will have different threads and larger stores like JoAnn's and Hancocks will have others. Just try one or two to see how you like it. for quilting I normally get a beige or tan or natural to sew with no matter what the fabric is.
