Here are my Sadie's Dream bags. The one on the left is their fabric and the one on the right is my fabric. I washed the fabric first to be sure to remove the sizing that might not be good for kids in hospitals. It didn't look like the fabric they sent had been washed. I wash mine in mesh bags (like for lingerie). I don't think the washing is as important with the bags as it would be with quilts that would touch the kids' skin.
