Just make sure it is a true king & not a "California King". California Kings are a slightly different size.
The top of a regular twin is 39x75. The box springs under the king are 80" long. You must have had the twin extra long, which is 39x80. Regardless, the Maynard Plaza quilt (according to the web site) is only 52x70, not big enough for a twin bed.
