Beautiful, some great suggestions from the others, maybe you could add some appliqued pieces in the broderie perse style. These could be applied to the plainer pieces in between your lovely embroidery. Don't be scared to be a little 'over the top', other colours could be introduced this way. Braids, beads and old buttons (the small decorative glass kind) can also be inserted here and there.
