How about a shoulder bag for shopping groceries in, that is large enough to fold the quilt into.
Just before Christmas a couple of years ago, I found some "shopping bags" at a discount department store that had a quilt pattern on the outside. I bought several just to put gift quilts in. That reminds me, I need to be on the look out for more. But you have to grab them when you see them, they are not always available. Then I fold the quilt, so the label is what you see when you look down into the bag.
