Been dealing w/ vets all morning. Tucker is no better and the vet said he should be if the meds were going to help. The "specialist" vet we were referred to is convinced he has slipped 2 disks (back and neck) even though he has never known of one to slip 2 in different spots at once. Anyway for the test to tell if it is a slipped disk is 2200, for the surgery w/o complications around 4000 (that includes the cost of the test) plus extra if it is 2 locations (but they weren't sure how much extra). I think we are going to increase the doses of his meds (pain and steroid) for this week and see if any changes so we will know for sure there was enough time and meds if it were some other issue. If no changes we will end his pain.
