I did a couple of jelly roll race quilts and did exactly what Prism99 posted the link to. I used irregular wavy lines with my walking foot on my DSM and it turned out great! I used about 3 per strip with a varigated King Tut thread. It was easy and these were the most fun quilts to quilt too. I think the more irregular the better. And the wavy lines being curvy soften all the straight lines of the pattern. Good luck and enjoy!
