finally got mine rewired about 2 yrs ago and while it ran good after that, is did not sew well. Just the other night I realized I had putting the needle in wrong all this time!!! Now, it sews so nicely! That was a Christmas gift for me to me. Hope you can get yours up and going soon. My 15-91 was my grandmother's, then my mom's and I have had it since she passed away in '91 and it had not been used since I was in elementary school (40 yrs ago), so sitting for 3 yrs is not that long, lol.
