Whatever you make in it, use the crock pot liners. It will save you clean up time. I lift the whole meal out in the liner, put the whole thing in a bowl, tie the liner closed and put leftovers in the fridge. For dryer roasting like chicken, ball up aluminium foil into fat balls to line the bottom of the pot, place chicken on top of the balls. If your meat is a little big for the lid to fit, use foil to mold around the top to fit. I have several different sizes and shapes of crock pots and use them all. If it fits, it cooks in a crock pot.
