I, too, get frustrated by Pinterest and for the same reasons. I figured I was doing something wrong. So many neat looking items have no pattern attached, even when I go to the website shown.
There are some bad links, but most of the time, I get to a blog or whatever. Sometimes I can work from the photo anyway, depending upon what I am doing. I love Pinterest....took me a little while to warm up to it, but now I am always finding something to pin.
