I was taught to read a ruler in fourth and fifth grades when we were learning fractions. I taught my kids how to as it wasn't taught at their school. They didn't learn how to read a ruler in Geometry class. Do you know if your grands or kids can read a ruler? I'm teaching my four year old grand now how to count the lines between the big numbers. He figured out there was the same number of lines between each.
