My sister-in-law couldn't find the label of a quilt given by her aunt. It was a sampler and along a Dresden blade. I've done labels along the binding. My friend varies her placements with the label often broken up and she photographs. That was how she was able to locate one of hers which was stolen. She used a slightly darker thread (variegated). Showed up for sale in another quilt shop next town over.
