My blade is camouflaged next to the bobbin case. I didn't know it was there until I took my user classes, and the teacher showed us how to clean it. It is hidden inside a felt lined casing. I know how to gently lift the blade up and clean the lint off of it, and around the casing. I do that whenever I have a problem with it not cutting the threads cleanly.
