Oh~ WOW~ Jennifer(shaking my head in ahhhhh)! You really have added a great border(there are alot of pieces in all those squares!). Love all the colors and fabrics and am thinking the flower in the dark blue matches the center. It's really pretty~ :thumbup:
They are actually red stars on the navy fabric. The turquoise in Tisha's center has a graphic print and the stars on the navy I used are also graphic. I thought they complimented one another well. I haven't counted how many squares. Ummm . . . (doing head math) . . . (finding a calculator). . . 400! Oh, I'm so glad I hadn't added that up beforehand! LOL. Each square is 1"x1" in size.

I know it's both busy and dark, but the center and first border have lots of open space and I thought they could support a busier border and still hold their own. As far as how dark it is, I was keeping in mind that there are three more borders to be added and felt confident it would balance out in the end.
