I like simple quilting so I think following the pattern is a great idea, but I do agree that if this is one of your "bucket list" quilts then if you're not confident about it, you could consider having it done. Unless you're like me and you love doing it all yourself from start to finish
It's a gorgeous top, what are you thinking for the backing??
