The Ever Sew'n looks like a really great starting or extra machine. I was impressed with all the metal inside. Walmart carries low priced Brother machines but I really would never buy one for a new sewer as they just aren't heavy enough to keep from moving around. I've recommended older second hand machines but this looks good. I'd buy one if I needed another machine - last count I have either 17 or 18 (lost count) but many are antiques/vintage - all Singer.
