not sure where you are mountainwoman but try finding a quilt show. We have one coming in Feb to the Hampton roads area. At almost all of the shows they have a design wall that just looks like an old fashioned window blind, you know the solid vinyl ones that you pull and it rolls up. You could buy one or make one out of a large blind like that. Google it or check you tube, there are lots of ways to do design walls. My first one was spare bedroom that had my daughter's queen size box spring stood up against the wall, that box springs made a great design wall. You can use flannel or just about any fabric that has a little cling to it. I still use pins to make sure the fabric stays in place.
