Your space is great! I sew in a corner of the living room with a large picture window right in front of me. It's my happy no-stress-allowed space and I love it. I keep bins under my table with essentials and the rest in a closet in our room that I can bring out as needed. I have a lovely fish tank right next to me that is very relaxing.
