I like the Prismacolor pencils. I did a research before buying them and they are the best according to many artists. With that kind of investment, I wanted to know I would be happy with the results. Don't take my word, do a search for yourself at utube on comparing pencils.
I'm intrested in trying the Prismacolor pencils as I have a huge box full of them (my husband was a commercial artist and used these pencils for most of his work). I'm also an artist but my medium is watercolor on watercolor paper and I don't think watercolor is the way to go with fabric! How do you set your colors once you've colored them? Do you use Artist Medium or Aloe Gel or something else? I know that on drawing paper and watercolor paper you can use alcohol to disperse the color. Would that work on fabric too? I am a total novice to quilting but I'm really interested in blending the art and the quilting together. Thanks for any insight you can give!
