Hi Joy - DH found a photo of an actual stained glass panel on the web and we drafted a pattern off that in black and white, enlarged it and printed it out. Then I traced it onto thin white cotton, cut the pattern up to use for a template for the coloured sections, hand basted them on then sewed the bias (home made) down by hand. It took quite a while, needless to say! The hardest thing was working out the order to sew the bias down so as to hide all the ends.
