Oh--this has been so out of my comfort zone (Fringe? Buttons? Faux suede? Yikes!), but you can see why I had to do it. :-D Oh the errors that have required creativity to fix. It started with the first two pieces I sewed together. (See stable differences!) I had to remeasure and go to EQ6 to help make the row of triangles that are at the top. BUT! It's come together and I like it. I have one this far, and one more stable ready with horses cut out. I have fabric for two more. My friend Angie is getting one. :-D I had to show her to get advice on how to deal with that line of stitches on the chest.

Still need to decide if buttons should go on the hatlers. I bought some cute ones. In the book, the horses are wearing bridles--which would have conchs (I think that's the word) there, but halters usually do not. Still thinking....

I also have not a clue how I'll quilt these. Most likely stitch in the ditch as much as possible. Since they are wall hangings, they won't need much.

My horse friend, Barb, helped me make the bridles into halters. The browbands didn't work.

BOOK photo (Creative Log Cabin Quilting)--the one I saw and knew I had to make.

This is where my first one is at.

I'm pleased all the machine applique so far. Had a dropped stitches issue, but a new needle helped that.
