Looks like you were heavily influenced/inspired by Kathy McNeil's award winning quilt Song of the Sea.

I had the honor of seeing Kathy's quilt in person several years ago at the AQS show in Syracuse. It was amazing and pictures don't do it justice. She made teeny tiny yoyos for the suckers on the octopus tentacles. All turned applique and embellished. I spent a long time examining all the details. It was exquisite as are all her quilts.
If you do make a pattern for this it is way too similar to Kathy's quilt and would be considered an infringement of copyright of her design.
