My cat Hot Rod and I just finished a purple Bargello quilt top. We are both quite pleased with it. The pattern is called Serenity Bargello by Northcott. It is free online, and even has a video to show how to make it.
What is funny is that I already made a purple Bargello almost like this. It also has eleven purples and one white. It was the first Bargello I had ever made, and I guess I temporarily forgot.
It wasn't until I put the pieces on my design wall that I thought, "Wait a minute, have I already done this?" I thought it was funny, but I really like the way this looks so I didn't let it bother me. It is a cheerful quilt and I needed to work on something cheerful and comfortable.
I am addicted to Bargello quilts. I have made 16 so far. I think that these quilts make me look like I am a better quilter than I am.
