After sleeping on this, I realized that I believe you have a machine similar to the one at Domestic imperial automatic/white automatic 651 Pay particular attention to post #12. There are many similar machines, such as the Gritzner GZ, Gritzner HZ and Gritzner VZ as seen at https://www.naehmaschinenverzeichnis...inen/gritzner/ There are also the Kenmore 117.740, 117.840, 117.841, Pfaff 139, Pfaff 239 and White "Zig Zag" also known as White 651. I have notes about my Pfaff 139 that it also includes Domestic Imperial Automatic 941.

Some search terms about similar machines, if you use the quotes.
"Connection between Pfaff and Gritzner-Kayser"
" Gritzner-Kayser Domestic Imperial Automatic"
There is a youtube on how to thread a Kenmore/Gritzner at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3kbAznPFQg
Some of them have cams to make fancy zig-zag stitches and some do not (like my Pfaff 139).

These machines take high shank presser feet.

Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do.
