Kyia, are you following a pattern? or just making one up as you go? Once your strips are sewn together like you have done you need to turn them sideways and cross-cut into whatever width your pattern or design calls for. Some may be 1", some 1 1/2, some 1 3/4, etc. Each strip should also be number from 1 to 21 or however many colors you have. Then you might be sewing #1,2 3,4 to #7,8 and then 15, 16, 17 depending on your design. Does this make sense? You can pm me if you like.
