I have 16 blocks ready to send out, 10 more to make. I wanted to send them out pretty much all the same time. I also have an 8-wk old baby to deal with today and tomorrow, so I will probably be a few days late.

I also agree that doing a Boom 3 would be great, but there has to be some way to reduce the number of blocks to be made, especially with fall and the holidays coming. Maybe divide into groups of 18 or 24? Or pick a simple common pattern that would be easy to mass-produce? Doing 36 blocks is a lot, especially trying to match 36 different fabrics. Maybe we could still send out the 36 fat eights, but use cream colored or white muslin or another neutral. That way we could concentrate more on making and less on matching. (I have to admit, some of the fabrics were a real challenge, even with my eclectic stash.} I know I want to spend some time making family gift projects over the next few months. Maybe y'all would want to hold off 3.0 completely until January or February when things slow down and get boring.

Anyway, just a thought. I just hate having to rush around when life gets in the way.

I got two purty blocks today,
one from mistliz and one from S. Carr ? boardname.
They are both beautiful and entirely different.

I agree that we might consider shrinking to 18 or 24, and agree on a neutral, and maybe postpone until January. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed at this time and am rocky on my commitment to 3.0 because of this. But, I've already bought the fabric!

    So....let's keep talking! ;)

I agree here -- as it stands I'm out for 3.0 (super sad) but if the number is smaller or if it waits until 2nd semester (january) i'll be good to go!!

AKAngel -- if you show me which fabric you're looking for, i'll see what i've got...

I can't do #3 right now either. January would work for me too or I'll wait for #4 if there is one.

My records indicate what I lack receiving. Some I'm not sure if they received my square (unless I indicated below).

    Aardvarq
    cjt_mama
    colletakay
    Karen*
    Kbunn
    LovingIzabella*
    Mosher92
    NorBanaquilts*
    OdessaQuilts
    purplemem*
    Suedonnie*
    Sugarpumpkin*

    * Means I know you've received your block from me.

I am in no hurry ... I know I sent mine out closer to the end so I'm okay with receiving mine after the dead line ... I have no plan as I'm working on Christmas quilts for family members ...

I will say ... I don't believe I can do 3.0. Not with trying to get the quilts done that I need to do for Christmas. Another thought besides making the size of the group a bit smaller...have you all thought of just doing a theme? Like someone state colors ... and each person do a block in those colors ... or maybe a theme.

    Just a thought :D
