I don't normally use any spray to hold my batting and backing or top together but I got the bright idea to try it with a wall hanging I made for my grandson. Well, now I have a few spots from the spray on the top of the quilt and it shows. I've tried washing it out, but it's still there. Does anyone have any suggestions how to get this out???

No, I don't have any suggestions for getting it out but I did read a while back that Sullivan' spray will stain if left in. I hope you can get it out and please let us know which brand you used. I sure hope it wasn't the 505 cause I was going to switch to it thinking it would not stain.

Yes, please tell us which brand it was. I too, hope it is not Sullivan's - that is what I am planning to use soon! I have used it before but washed the quilt as soon as done and I didn't see any staining.

This isn't exactly the same as your problem but very similar.
A friend used fusible batting once and it left glue marks on the fabric that wouldn't wash out.
She contacted the mfg and they said to have it dry cleaned, even though it'd already been washed and dried.
The dry cleaning got everything out.
No matter which remedy you use, I hope it all comes out.

The 505 will not stain. I use it all the time, for 3 years now and have never had a problem. And please tell us what brand it was! Thanks!

Please tell us what brand you used. I too use spray basting on a few of my bow tuck totes. However I do not want it to stain the tote.

I've used both and haven't had a problem with either. Sure hope your stains come out after all the work you did on the wallhanging.
