Good for you!!! My DH is very supportive and never complains about money spent on my "stuff" His thing is deer hunting so we each do our own thing and it works out great!

My hubby has learned to look the other way when I bring fabric home, and he does not seem to notice that I have 10 machines. He always has comments. He uses phrases like, "You need more color contrast. Will it quilt out? You cut off a point. Those seams don't match". My favorite is "Wow, I like that one!"

Barbara - your husband sounds a lot like mine. He's into baseball and mustangs (1965's), and our relationship sounds exactly like yours. We show interest in each others' hobbies...or at least act like we do. Couldn't be happier with him. And we, too, make a great team!

My hubby and I are about the same. He helps me on occasion usually with mechanical issues. He has his hobbies too. We have been married 46 years.

My DH never says anything about my quilting. I use my own money to buy things and the only time she says anything is if I show him. Then all I get is a "uh huh" :(

On the other hand, my son loves what I make! :D

MY DH hates quilts. And he gives me grief about the money I spend. But then again he tries not to discourage me because he knows if he does and I stop quilting he won't be able to live with me!! After 20+ years of living with me and my depression he tries to keep me happy! :lol:

My husband is once again doing renovations on my sewing room, since Paco (my embroidery machine) moved in. He is going to redo my closet, take off the doors, and install a cabinet and more shelves for my stash.
And he is also building my greenhouse so we can use it next spring.

He has been known to say......"Get out of the truck, make sure you have your Visa"and then opens the fabric store door, shoves me in and says.."go get 'em baby"

:-) It is up to us to train them properly. They just don't know they will never graduate from "oooing and aaahing appropriately 101" . My husbands Mother and Grandmother did my training for me. Tom told his Dad I was working on a quilt. His Dad said "What is she using? Cotton?". I was so impressed, this man is 92. He, also, was trained properly, I think. Tom remembers the 'quilting ladies' coming to his house when they would leave for school. My quilting and crochet make him feel a piece of his Mom's presence for a few minutes. He is very supportive.

He compliments me on my projects; but complains when I buy fabric,patterns, and books. Tells me to use what I have before I buy more....he does have a point; but I just can't help myself!!
