    Each one of the stars is actually a square block. You sew a piece of the white to each of the triangles you cut from the focal fabric. This makes a larger triangle of each piece. Then you sew two triangles together to make a square, then sew the four squares together to make the final block. Then the blocks are sewn together on point with setting side and corner triangles to complete the top.

    I am posting several pictures of squares I have been working on for a child's twin size quilt. I think it should show what I am talking about.

    Thank you all for the lovely compliments. This was a very special thing for my sister and I to be able to do for her son. I wasn't there when he opened his gifts, but I know it meant the world to him. When he was born he was the only grandbaby for quite a few years and you can imagine how we all spoiled him.
