I would love to help you with the binding. Once you master it, you will think, wow, that was easy.
Cut the 2-1/2 strip of material, fold in half.
Put on edge of your quilt top, sew it l/4", when you get to the
corner, you stop at the very edge, cut the thread, and you are
going to take the binding and fold it to the left - it will make
a little triangle shape, then fold it back down over that triangle
so now your going down the next side. You sew from the very edge l/4" and continue to sew the binding, you do this on every
corner, then you clip the corners, turn the binding to the back
side of the quilt. Pin down, just a couple inches at a time, and
do an invisible stitch. Go into the tunnel of the binding, then go
into the tunnel of the quilt(only in the middle layre), and when you do go from binding to quilt, make sure you are exactly opposite the stitch you came out of, and then you won't see the stitches. Good Luck, hope this helps.

To those that don't know....if sm doesn't drop it's feed dogs for free motion you can usually buy a little thingy that COVERS the feed dogs so you don't have to drop them. see if you can find a dealer for your brand or shop on line!!!

Ok, I have someone experienced who's adopted me. But I'm not a total newbie, and can help unless it's a technique I've not tried yet. I'd be happy to adopt someone. I've been quilting for 3 yrs, have made 19 Quilts, and like most quilters, I have a dozen UFOs (started & not finished quilts). I've taken classes from 5 Natl Teachers, and couple dozen from local teachers. I hope I have enough under my belt to be able to help with your questions. If not, we can approach this board together..if I don't know it, I'm a sponge for learning, and will ask. You can PM me.
I have MSN web cam currently. I like to encourage anyone who's quilting.

I am a newbie, sorta. And I am brand new to this site or the like. 1.How do you get your names to look so cool? 2.Is there a place that I can look for a key to the acronyms? ie...DH-darling hubby. Are we allowed to share patterns on here? I saw one ladies profile pic and I want to make it! Just a couple 'newbie' questions. Thanks

momof3Es>> I posted acronyms for quilting and for email/text.
Please look around the site, I'm also new to the site, and it's amazing all the tutorials and information here.
If you could let us know who's quilt it is, I'm sure someone could get you a link to a pattern, unless it's an original design, then it be up to the owner to share or not.
