A few years ago we went to New Hampshire for a few days. I said I'll do anything as long as on the way home we go to Keepsake Quilts and I get to shop. Fine with him. So on Sunday, we drive there and I start to go in. I say, "I'm going to be a little while, will you be ok?" Fine, he says. I said, "come in and find me if you get bored". Fine, he says. Well, I was in there 20 minutes and he shows up- I have about 20 bolts of fabric piled up trying to make decisions for a particular project- and he says, Aren't you done yet?? I said "no, at least another hour". Well, he couldn't believe how I could stay there so long and left muttering to himself. The saleslady just about split her sides laughing. She said it happens all the time. That was the first and LAST time he ever came with me.

Oh no! My DH "camando raid" shops....he goes in and gets what he wants and gets out...in 10 minutes or less. He's no fun to take shoppping at all. He never complains if I buy fabric...it wouldn't do him any good.

The first time I took my husband along he complained of chest pain and suddenly felt better when we got to the car. I tease him that he faked a heart attack just to get out of Joanns. But since then I have asked his opinion a couple of times and told him I appreciate his sense of color coordination and now he tags along willingly sometimes. He really does have a good eye for color.

Yep I call him an enabler, books, material, whatever if he's there more money spent.

My DH must be related, only he says he wouldn't go if they were serving a buffet.

Never. And I can't ever show or tell him what I bought. He yells at me about spending money. So I only buy fat quarters and a few at a time. Once in awhile I order online. He doesn't have a key to our mailbox so he can't get the mail!

My Hubby will sometimes go with me and we will spend more money, it's just not always the fabric I would choose if by myself, but I still am glad he doesn't mind going.
When I go to the LQS I can bring home new stuff and he'll never notice,LOL.

My DH does most of the driving, so will usually bring me to JoAnn's & come inside. He looks at the fabrics, thinks up projects for me to do, then gets highly annoyed when I don't jump on his ideas. I do on occasion get to shop by myself though. I try not to spend any more than necessary, but he's always telling me to get what I need, because I don't create a fuss when he buys woodworking tools & materials. I think he's a keeper!LOL!!

My husband loves going into quilt shops and looking at all the quilts. I ended up with a top of the line machine, and a nice cabinet for it with him tagging along. He doesn't go very often to the local shop but when we travel we stop at all quilt shops I can find.

If my DH goes in with me, he looks and "suggests" all kinds of things that are the oppisite of what I would select. He is a gaget type of guy and I am not. Although the tools I would select he dosn't understand the need or looks for other options. Occationally he has great ideas.
