to Homecaregiver -- I sent your January block on Jan. 3rd but hadn't heard if you received it. It wasn't returned by the post office so assume you got it. Haven't received yours .....

When your block arrived the other day, it was wrapped in tyvek and well taped -- took an atom bomb to open it! LOL Just kidding, Dotty, but the tape on the tyvek was overkill!

Dotty...Well that is a positive note that the hard one was received. That is always a relief. Went to PO today and nothing today either. Will keep you posted.

In case anyone would be interested in seeing what I did with a collection of black and white blocks I received from a block swap with my local quild, you can click on the address below.

Perhaps it may help someone decide what to do with some of their blocks. I have picked out some of the batik blocks from my first BOM theme, and am going to make another wall hanging similar to this one. The rest will go in a quilt. Think a quilt with a matching wall hanging will look great in the guest bedroom.

I wonder how much the winter weather has backed up the postal system. I'm waiting for a package from England that was mailed 5 weeks ago. Nothing yet. It's my finished IRR top from last year and I'm holding out hope that the mail is just running slow right now. Keep your fingers crossed . . . I hope your blocks arrive to their new homes soon.

    Hi, participants -
We have a new participant who needs a partner.

The theme is: log cabin block, with purples& lavender on 1 side and mint green prints on the other with yellow center http://www.quilterscache.com/L/LogCabinBlock.html

In an effort to be fair, the sixth participant to PM me with "Partner" in the subject line, will be the chosen one!

    Thanks,
    shirley

    >>>>>NOTICE: Partner chosen! Thanks, participants, for your offers.
