Please post your Block 16 photos here.

Tried using 2 different Razzle DAzzle colors on this one - green & purple.

I had real fun with this one - I didn't have any kind of print that would work in those little circles, so I hit on the idea of using a thick bleach and painting little circles to represent flowers on some of my plainer batiks.

I used a very fine artists paint brush - some worked better than others, so do a few spares, as they still might 'run' together. I know that there is a bleach pen on the market (Amazon have them) but I haven't tried one of them so this was my solution.

I let the bleach dry, then rinsed everything in cool water to get rid of any lingering bleach, before getting on with the applique.

Here I am again - I got so far with my posting this morning and then everything froze and I couldn't get back. So the remaining pics are here:

The centre circle is also a bleached flower

    The back

Detail, I put embroidery round these circle (bleached) flowers to make them stand out. The pink 'Mums' are a recular quilting cotton, not a batik, but it was the only one I had that seemed to fit nicely.

Very innovative using the bleach. I must remember that idea.

    Both blocks look beautiful.

Again...both of your blocks are pretty...both very different! I love how the "bleach flowers" worked for you Lesley! Great idea!

Kathy...great fabric choices on this one! Love it!
