Howdy ya'll!! It's that time and no, this is NOT an April Fools Joke :D

This month's pattern will NOT be paper pieced (pause for celebratory applause.......) OK...so here we go.....

The Houses BOM for April will be the "SPRING BIRDHOUSE" by The Golden Thimble. Here it is:

    http://thegoldenthimble.com/springbirdhouse.pdf

I really think this one will be alot of fun and is just in time for Spring! Be sure to read all through the pattern before starting. It is mostly regular pieced with some applique. It is already a 12 1/2 inch block so you shouldn't have to add to it so keep that in mind when planning all your fun "extras".
If you have ANY questions, please let me know and ENJOY!! :D

What an adorable pattern, Qbee. Thanks for choosing it. I still haven't done March's yet, but hopefully within a week or so I can get caught up.

Looks like a winner Qbee. Thanks for having one that's not paper pieced.

    Look forward to this one.

Honestly....I LOVE paper piece and had originally picked a PP pattern but after seeing that that's all we have done so far and some folks were growing tired of it, I looked for an alternative. It worked out GREAT because I like this one even better :D

The Spring Birdhouse is adorable. I was up at 5:45AM to see what the next block would be. I definitely love it. Thanks, QBee for the great block. I adore appliqué!

I headed right to the computer to see what the new block would be. I love the block -- I love birdhouses and birds. I am not relieved that it isn't PP because I've never appliqued -- I don't even know if I can piece a regular block!! I'm not complaining-- just looking forward to a new challenge.

What a pretty block! I am glad to see applique because I've been thinking I should try that. I can't wait to see what kind of bird makes his home in the house I create.

Happy, happy with your choice! Applique will be a new technique for me but it's something I've wanted to attempt. Those little birdies are so cute - this block looks like a fun one.
